Photographer

Let me first thank you for taking the time to share in my passion for photography. My name is Sheldon, and I am originally from the small town of Eganville, Ontario, Canada. From an early age I can recall spending hours roaming our 100-acre farm of open fields, cedar and maple forests, and freshwater stream. Back then nature and the outdoors were my television and I would have to be called back to the house as sunset. This planted the seed of appreciation for the beauty around me.

I moved to the United States at the age of 30 and have enjoyed all that this country has to offer in the ways of State and National Parks, from border to border, and coast to coast. The geography landscape in each state are truly unique. It was during these cross-country road trips that I felt the need to capture and preserve my moments in the form of photography.

I hope that my collection of memories are as dear to you as they are to me. Again, thank you for letting me share with you!

Inspiration

I was asked a question, some time ago… “what keeps you grounded and centered in life?” For each of us this will vary across a wide spectrum of things that we feel connected with. For myself, it has always been the natural world we live in. Beauty comes in so many forms, and to each of us we appreciate beauty differently. What I see, may not be what you see and vice versa. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed sharing my perspective and my vision with others.

The great outdoors is my playground, from the tall dark forests, rolling hillsides, wave crashing coastal beaches, to the most secluded “road less traveled” discoveries. There are no two places on this planet that are the same, and the connections I feel varies with each new path taken. Photography for me is a way to capture these moments in time and share them with others.

Time is fleeting and as each second passes, everything around us changes. When I see nature in all of its glory, I can only hope that a photograph can do it justice.

One click, capturing time…
