~Wild Ponies~
The ponies of the Grayson Highlands were first introduced to the Highlands and Mount Rodgers in Virginia back in the early 1970’s. Between 10-15 herds of ponies roam the conservation area maintaining overgrowth to the park’s trails and meadows and balds.
